Google Calendar with Call0The appointment is in Google Calendar before the caller hangs up.

While the call is still running, your phone assistant looks at your Google Calendar, suggests a free time and adds the appointment.

What your agent does during the call

  • Check busy times

For the requested day or period, the agent asks when your primary calendar is busy. It can offer any gap in between.

  • Add the appointment

Title, start and end are saved as a calendar event. If the agent gives no end, the appointment lasts one hour. A note on the request goes into the description, and callers who give an email address are added as guests.

How it sounds on the phone

  1. CallerHello, I’d like to book an initial consultation, ideally on Thursday afternoon.
  2. Call0Of course, let me check the calendar. On Thursday, two thirty and four o’clock are free. Which suits you better?
  3. CallerTwo thirty works.
  4. Call0Then I’ll put you down for Thursday at two thirty. What name should I book the appointment under?
  5. CallerKatharina Vogel.
  6. Call0The appointment is booked, Ms Vogel. See you on Thursday.

How to connect it

  1. Open your agent in the dashboard, go to “Integrations” and choose Google Calendar.
  2. Click “Connect” and sign in with the Google account whose calendar should hold the appointments.
  3. Answer Agent0’s questions about appointment types, durations and opening hours. “Save to system prompt” makes the rules apply to your agent.

At the end of setup you choose which actions your agent may use.

What the integration does not do

  • The check reads the primary calendar of the connected account, not every sub-calendar.
  • Moving or deleting existing appointments is not one of the standard actions. The agent takes such requests as a callback.
  • The time zone is Europe/Berlin unless you set a different one.

Questions about Google Calendar

How does Call0 prevent double bookings in Google Calendar?

Before the agent confirms a time, it queries the busy times and only offers gaps. If you add appointments yourself in the meantime, it sees them on the next query.

Can I define when appointments are possible at all?

Yes. You set opening hours, breaks and the duration per appointment type during setup. The agent only offers times that fit this frame and are free in the calendar.

Do I need Google Workspace for this?

You need a Google account with a calendar that you authorise when signing in. Whether it is a personal or a Workspace account makes no difference for the two actions.

Listen to your agent.
